We walked to the zoo which is only 1.3 miles (or 2.6 km), which meant we also walked 1.3 miles back to our hotel. And yes, we went to the zoo, so there was more walking there - at least 3 more miles.

The walk took us through Saint Patrick's Island in the middle of the Bow River and was quite nice. We wandered through the gardens to the butterfly conservatory where my glasses fogged up immediately from the humidity. Once they cleared, what beautiful sights of thousands of butterflies.

We continued on through several other exhibits before heading back to our hotel. On the way, we stopped at Charbar again and got the same Napa cabbage salad we had the night before. It was so tasty and refreshing. After lunch, we walked back to the Apple Lady and purchased more apricots and raspberries. As I'm writing this, I'm eating the last apricot left in our bag. Now that I've caught up on the photos and blog posts with the help of the technological conveniences of a city centre. We get back on the road to new sights and adventures Banff has to offer.

On a side note, Trey's received a job transfer. Rather than returning to Dallas after Alaska, we will be driving to Northern Virginia to my our new home.
